Welcome to The Vistula Rose!
We will do everything possible to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. To ensure a pleasant experience for all guests at the Vistula Rose, we have established the following policies. Please take a few minutes to review these house rules, and feel free to contact us at 419-487-6126 if you have any questions.
Check-In:
Check-in by appointment between 4 – 9 PM by calling or texting the Innkeeper at 419-487-6126. Please let us know your estimated arrival time so we may greet you for your arrival. If your plans require arrival after this time, please notify us.
Check-Out:
Check-out is no later than 11 AM so that housekeeping can ensure that the rooms are ready for the arrival of the next guests. If your plans require departure after this time, please notify us and we will accommodate you when possible. Any late check-out that is not prior-authorized may be charged at a rate of $25/hr.
Payment:
The Vistula Rose accepts all major credit cards. Prices are as listed and subject to tax. We accept payment via Square or through AirBnB if bookings were made via the app. Payment in full is required when you place your reservation.
Cancellation:
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact us directly ASAP. We are a small B&B, and cancellations affect us significantly. Cancellations that occur prior to 1 week in advance of your scheduled arrival are fully refundable. Cancellations that occur between 1 week - 72 hours of scheduled arrival are refundable at 50% of total cost. Cancellations made within 72 hours of scheduled arrival and no-shows are non-refundable. For cancellations within 72 hours of the scheduled arrival, the card on file will be charged for the full amount. In such an event, credit for a future stay may be given at the discretion of management.
Length of Stay:
We do not have a minimum limit night requirement; however, we do reserve the right to require this for selected weekends, holidays or special events, at the owner’s discretion.
Occupancy:
Room rates are based on double occupancy. A service charge of $25.00 per night will be incurred for each additional guest.
Children:
The Vistula Rose is regarded as a quiet escape and romantic getaway for most of our guests. Though this may not be the most suitable accommodation for children due to the age and nature of the mansion and its furnishings, well-behaved children are welcome with careful supervision.
Supervision.
By agreeing to stay, guardians are accepting full responsibility for any injury or cost related to damages during stay.
Housekeeping Service, Towels & Essentials:
Soap, shampoo, conditioner, make-up remover wipes, and towels are provided in your guest room. Please ask the innkeeper if additional towels or toiletries are needed. Limited housekeeping service is provided during the stay. If additional housekeeping or a linen change is required, please notify us. Please help us preserve our plush towels by using the make-up remover cloths provided instead of towels and washcloths to remove make-up.
Bedding & Robes:
Love our robes or bedding? We do to! Please do not take ours home with you. If you would like to purchase some for your home use, purchases can be made through us and shipped directly from Comphy Co. to your home. Price for a Robe is approximately $80 and sheets are $158 for Queen size and $164 for King size (plus taxes).
Eating Drinking:
Breakfast will be served in the dining room at 9 am. If you have any special requests outside of this time due to booked activities, etc. please let us know so we can provide alternate arrangements. Please inform us in advance of any allergies or dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate them, given sufficient time to prepare. Complimentary coffee and tea is available at the coffee station in the upstairs hall. Our dining room is available for your use throughout the day. Please refrain from eating in the rooms, particularly on or in the bed.
Smoking:
The Vistula Rose is a smoke-free environment. Smoking of any kind is not permitted. A fee of $250 may be charged to the card on file in the event of smoking within the mansion.
Noise & Parties:
Unregistered guests are not permitted within the property without prior approval. Parties are not allowed. If you wish to host an event on the property, it must be approved in advance and written in contract.
Liquor Consumption:
The Vistula Rose does not sell or serve alcohol. Should you wish to consume alcoholic beverages of your own bringing during your stay, we ask that you do so responsibly.
Kitchen Use:
The kitchen is strictly a private area for staff use due to health and safety regulations. The refrigerator on the left side of the kitchen may be used to store special items or beverages. Please be sure to dispose of any stored items prior to check-out.
Pets:
For the preservation of our historic property, pets are not permitted. An exception applies for service animals that may be accommodated within our facilities. Please contact us in advance prior to making your reservation so that we can best prepare for your stay.
Visitors:
The Vistula Rose is for the exclusive use of our registered guests only. No visitors are allowed unless cleared with us in advance. No unregistered guests are allowed overnight.
Public Areas / Privacy:
There are common areas located on the main floor for guest use. We ask that you keep them free of clutter and remain mindful of the furnishings. If an accident occurs, please notify us right away. Due to the age of the property, areas will likely be unfinished or under construction. The basement, third floor, and tower are incomplete and off limits to guests due to safety hazards that are present. We ask that guests be respectful of any area that is roped off as off-limits. Trespassing into such areas without authorization may result in guests being asked to leave and no refund being issued for stay.
AC / Heat:
The Vistula Rose is a 153- year- old home and does not have central air conditioning. Each guest room has a window unit for air conditioning and boiler system for radiant heat in the colder months. If the temperature in your room is not to your comfort, please inform us and we will do our best to accommodate.
Parking:
A parking lot is available for guest use during your stay. The parking lot is well lit and has partial video surveillance.
Accessibility:
We are saddened to say that we do not currently possess the ability to offer wheelchair or disabled accommodations. All of the rooms and suites are located on the second floor, and there is no elevator access. We would love for this to change in the future and offer our sincere apology for being unable to serve those with physical disabilities at this time.
Safety & Security:
Please do not give your room key or share the access code with anyone. Security cameras are located at the perimeter and doors of the house. Always lock your vehicle and hide any visible personal belongings. The Vistula Rose does not accept liability for any theft or damage that occurs on the premises or parking lot. The use of candles, incense, or any open flame is prohibited.
Lost Keys:
Please return your key upon check out. Lost Keys will incur a $25 replacement fee.
Damages / Losses:
We are happy to host you at our historic house. Please do not move or remove any of the furnishings and decorations within the house. Guests are liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury they may cause or incur on-premises. If any damage is found upon departure, a fee may be charged accordingly.
Any Issues:
If you need something, please ask. If there is a problem with your room, tell us so that we can make your stay with us one that you will remember fondly.
